I have spent an untold number of hours on the phone with McAfee over the last few weeks, to no good end they did nothing but raise my blood pressure. In sum, McAfee has turned into a fraudulent, incompetent, cold-blooded company that hardly even pretends to offer any service other than extracting money from your credit cards. They simply gave me "Case Numbers" in my calls that were useless, if indeed they existed at all. Even the expiration dates of my subscriptions didn't match in various places on their OWN WEBSITE, which bothered the company reps not at all. All the reps wished to do was get rid of me (and of course, collect more money). When the reps decided they had enough of me, they simply told me that they needed to "transfer" me to another department, which turned into dead air on the phone. They're still "looking into" the situation (right!), but of course, informed me that so sadly, the three-year subscription I had just wasn't valid-despite the fact that EVERY ONE of some half-dozen reps I had spoken with previously informed me that the three-year subscription was the ONLY valid relationship I had with them. I called again today August 29th and I was told this time that there was not going to be any refund as I was calling out of the cancelling period which is ridiculous as I have it all in writing. I told her to cancel any services and to process two refunds. By that time I did not want anything to do with McAfee. I requested to speak with a supervisor and after a long wait the same representative informed me the supervisor will get back to me within 48 hours. ![]() ![]() She comes back to the line and says that the refund was not going to be processed as it had already been charged. After going over the problem a few times she says that she doesn't see any notes regarding a refund and that was going to confer with a supervisor. By August 2nd the money had not been refunded so I called again and got another representative. Another representative apologized and informed me that there had been an internal error and the money had not been processed but he assured me that the refund process was being initiated by him. On July 27th I called McAfee customer service again as the $160.11 had not been credited to my account.
